Once you get out of school and out into the real world, you realize how little it all means. That's the truth.
Now, if you stay in a fishbowl and never stray far from the safety net, all while extolling the achievements of a bunch of kids that you watch from a distance -- pinning your entire self-worth on an outcomes lived vicariously and through proxy -- then you're going to be in for a pretty miserable life.
A lot of fans do that. Basing their entire value on something out of their own control, because that allows them to be free of any responsibility. Which gives them the leeway to achieve relatively nothing at all, except for scraping together enough change to buy a case of Beast Light. They couldn't achieve on their own, so they count on others to provide them with that assurance.
I've worked with a number of MSU and Alabama grads, and some of them were the best people I've ever known. My boss went to LSU -- one of my best friends. These people know the relativity of it all. I went to Elite Dawgs one time to see what everyone was talking about, and I can't help but pity those people.
Seemed like most of them had a lot of self-confidence issues.

I can't downvote the OP enough.
This guy cares more about a mascot than winning. That's a horrible mentality.
No, I brought up the mascot voting to prove my point that we can't trust our administration( because the voting was rigged). I don't care more about the mascot than winning. But I do care about our leaders cheating and having all the fans thrown under the bus. You don't get it dude.

No, your dumbass boosters shouldn't have been openly bragging about the cheating.
You are now a pariah to every other fanbase in the SEC.

Youtube the name johnny rebel and listen to 30 seconds of any of his music. Thats all you need to know about ole miss and this shite poster
Sorry I've never heard of this before you brought it up. FYI I chose my name when Johnny Football was still popular, and not a total shithead. JohnnyRebel came from JohnnyFootball. You would know that if you saw the pic of Johnny manziel in Ole Miss under armor, I rocked as my profile pic the first entire year I was on this site. But go ahead call me racist and think I chose JohnnyRebel because I'm racist. My best friend is black and you don't know shite about me.

You do realize that there have been 3 different chancellors, 2 different ADs, and 3 different head football coaches during most of what you are bitching about, right?
I came to Ole Miss in 2010. The two football staffs that have been at Ole Miss since I've gone there have cheated. So What am I missing?
