Do people in the stands actually think that’s funny? It’s painful to watch. His lame attempts at humor are outdone by kids in a high school pep rally. Aggy always tells us that midnight yell practice is this amazing tradition. What’s on video is one of the lamest things to grace a college campus.

The weirdness combined with the arrogance is the kicker.
I mean we’ve got some various weirdo schools by various measures including us (LSU and some of its crazy weird stuff), but more obviously Arky, Moo, Piss and sister-screwing Bama. Gata in the back mething out says hi.
But Aggy blows all that shite away tenfold. It’s like they want to be as weird and freaky as possible.

How stupid is the midnight yell in general? Where every other SEC student body is going to parties or bars the night before a game, Texas A&M students are spending their Friday night watching a bunch of dudes in overalls performing ghey mating rituals

They are cringy. I lived in Houston 15 years. I dated an Aggie girl who was by most accounts sweet and promising, but she was hardcore Aggie. Like 4th gen, and always went to yell practice, raved about fish camp, muster, bonfire (this was before, you know, the happenstance), etc.
No way I was going to consider her marrying material, because she would have gone psycho with me when I'd no doubt be saying 'no way in holy heck any of our kids go aggee.'
She's married and has college aged kids and yep they are fish campers and such. I feel bad for the poor guy who married her. He went to a good TX school, but no way he was going to win.
Friends don't let friends marry Aggies, unless they are verified 2%-ers, and even then it's dicey. Approach with caution.
