I can assure you he said it. The video cuts off because those clowns go on to talk about "the clap" for another few moments, but after that, he shakes hands with the whole panel and that is when he said "congrats on a great career".
And honestly, that part wasn't a dig. I think Miles wanted to make his point in a respectful way, and he saw McElroy looked a little flustered, and decided to make a genuine comment congratulating him for his success both on the field, and now off as he is now on ESPN and SECN.
Just a teaching moment from a great coach to another successful guy imo
