Vegas sportsbooks updated 2017 college football national title odds on Monday. Here are the Top 16 betting favorites to win the College Football Playoff:

Virginia Tech: 40-1
Oklahoma State: 40-1
Notre Dame: 40-1
Washington: 30-1
Georgia: 30-1
Auburn: 20-1

Penn State: 20-1
Texas: 20-1
Louisville: 15-1
Clemson: 15-1
LSU: 15-1
Michigan: 12-1
Oklahoma: 10-1
USCw: 7-1
Florida State: 7-1
Ohio State: 7-1
Alabama: 7-2

OU at 10/1 is probably the best value play, but that's not saying much. Doesn't seem like any great value on the board.

Texas is coming off 3 straight 7 loss seasons and has significantly better odds than Washington, who won their conference and made the playoff last year

Exactly why I think UF should handle Michigan in September.

No reason UF should lose that game with everyone healthy to start the year.
