Tell ya what. To win the way they did, as big underdogs tonight, stopping the bases loaded threat, the pitching, the defense ... the home run in game three at TD Ameritrade on a 97 mph fast ball that was out of the strike zone. Whew! Man what a game!

Absolutely. My body is exhausted, but I will not be sleeping tonight. So tense, but it made that NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP even sweeter!

Even crazier ... I just heard that Norwood had only hit four runs in his entire career and, did I hear this right, that was number 4?
Regardless, the way he turned on that 97 mph fastball I thought he was a born and bred slugger. I mean he got around on that thing, and it was inside, and he absolutely cranked it out of the park. There was never any doubt about it.
I heard Aaron Fitt comparing it to '96 Warren Morris homer. Not quite the same, but it'll be remembered just as fondly.

His power has been mostly potential so far. Expected to ramp up considerably next year. But yes, he had 3 HRs on the year before this one...
