The play calling and execution was atrocious. No SEC team should lose to Western Kentucky. Vandy should be able to recruit better players just because they play in the SEC.

That is a painful game to watch live...let alone a second time on replay...the Vandy offense was God awful and a lot of it is playcalling and being skeered to throw on first down.
News bulletin to Mason: if you're skeered to throw on first down when WKU had nine guys (I counted) stacked on the line..then maybe you want to take your talents to a smaller conference or take DC gig at a large school. Your defense deserved a better fate.
I kept waiting on a first down throw from Vandy to loosen up the WKU defense and they wouldnt do it and VU always had third and long because 1st & 2nd down runs didnt go far when there are a zillion defenders waiting.
If I would had been head coach at VU and my OC kept doing that...I would have marched up to pressbox and strangled him....but maybe Mason told him to run on 1st and 2nd downs? Stupid playcalling.

But...I don't think we're going to win a title every year. I've only thought we coudl like 2 or 3 times in my life. I keep my expectations in check and it helps.
