Vandy opened as a 1 1/2 pt favorite but now Ole Miss is favored by 3. I say Ole Miss covers because I think Vandy lost a lot from last year and will also be less focused after the rape scandal.

I like a 3 point winner either way... leaning Vandy ATM but I think it's a toss-up.

I think we win by 10+

As I have said before playing them game 1 is huge.

Not only are they breaking in a new qb. But that qb just lost their #2 WR.

HUGE IMO.

I was worried about this...but the closer it gets, the better I feel. OM by 10.

Reasons we'll win:

We return 19 total starters.

Our front seven on D is as talented 2 deep since 2008.

We're pissed about last year.

Jeff Scott has been pushed very hard this year by the plethora of running backs we have on campus now. We run for 150+.

We are rotating 9 O linemen instead of 5 this year.

They're breaking in the new QB. Check that, OM will be breaking the new QB.

Our WRs > theirs.

Our RBs > theirs.

Our special teams will be VASTLY improved with Ritter and Campbell back.

The brothers Nkemdiche.

I would not bet this game. Without seeing either team play, no one really knows what to expect. Love that it's on a Thursday, though; I will absolutely be watching

Been taking Vandy, but for some reason leaning towards OM.

Should be a close one

I was feeling good about it till we lost Boyd, now not so much. I just have no idea how the team responds to all of this.

Just can't see Vandy winning this one with the players not playing and a new QB. Ole miss is more talented imo also!

Same. All the distractions may be too much to overcome. I hope I'm wrong.

Our offense is going to be a lot better than last year.

We only lost one full-time starter in AJ Hawkins.

While Sanders is out, we're moving three year starter Ja-Mes Logan to his spot and sliding LaQuon Treadwell in to starting slot receiver. All three of those receivers are above 6'3.

We have a lot more depth at the RB position. Scott will still start, but Mathers, Walton, and track star Kailo Moore will receive a bulk of carries.

While Vandy, A&M, and LSU were decided by a combined 10 points last year for Ole Miss and all losses, I know the staff feels as if there was one game they gave away, it was Vandy.

I don't see us losing this one in prime time. Vandy has some new starters in key positions including QB and more question marks than us. I think we take care of business and win by 10-17 points.

And I hope our defense has a blood orgy.
