Vandy actually got a 4 star QB from Virginia Beach that had 'committed' to Va Tech. Got a 3 star QB from Tampa.

Franklin is actually a really good coach and I was impressed by him. I think our administration is finally getting serious about football. They see programs like Northwestern, Stanford, Wake Forest,etc all competing. We will never be Stanford or win the the conference like Wake did, but we can be a consistent threat like Northwestern. Especially with the East being shite right now.

well, obviously a lot of SEC fans might want to jump out of window with this ranking, but Vanderbilt has a shot at class in the 50-55 range right now. Franklin has hit the ground running and making in-roads in Memphis as well as mid-state. Supposedly moved past Pitt and NC State.

many out of region recruits just to get 2 and 3 star guys who can do the school work.

a class in the top 40-60 would be good for Vanderbilt with their limitations... and while not competitive in the SEC would be similar to classes at many BCS programs

VANDY has come SO close, SO many times. It's amazing how many times they've nearly pulled off the big one, only to lose it at the very end !!

Scout currently has Vandy at #50. Not bad for Franklin's first SEC rodeo.
