If you'll remember I have been shitting on Blair since the spring here. Guy who posts on another site says he is god awful.

That's been dead on so far. Blair was handed the LT job in the spring and has fallen to 3rd/4th string.

He said today no chance Blair beats out Kendrick or Thomas.

He also said Kendrick graded out higher than Gilliam Sunday fwiw.

Good thing your back ups are better than your starters.

Kid was a walk on for four years, earned a scholarship this offseason, is from Knoxville, dreamed his whole life of starting for the Vols and in his first game rips up his knee and is likely done for his career.

That is a tough thing to deal with. Stay strong Jacob.

Yeah I remember that. I've just been hoping Blair could turn into what we thought he would be when he was a JUCO.

I was thinking/hoping that Blair had turned the corner when Butch started giving him praise during fall camp.

I hate to hear that for the young man. I hope he goes on and does great things in his life off the field.

Tough Break. On the upside replacing a full line in the offseason means that if you have depth, its not like you lost experience.

Recruiting: You're doing it wrong if local walk-on is your starting LT

How is Dontavius Blair doing?

He's behind more people than he should be. Coaches have been very pleased with his talent but he is pretty far behind in his technique. There are at least 1 or 2 ahead of him. THAT is what shocked me.

I'm not sure what the plan is but a few have talked that maybe the coaches want to redshirt him if they can. We'll see. It was just shocking that he didn't go in when Gilliam went down.

Hopefully, he'll be granted a medical redshirt
