That said, this matchup favors Georgia heavily. UT is tied with LSU in the SEC for most sacks allowed, with 9. This is a matchup that Georgia SHOULD be able to exploit and mask some of the issues that we have in the defensive backfield.
UT gave up 7 sacks against Oklahoma, and 1 each against Arkansas State and Utah State. The question would be, is UGA's pass rush like Oklahoma, ASU/USU...or somewhere in between.
So far this season...
Arkansas State has 14 sacks (tied for 9th in FBS);
Utah State has 13 sacks (tied for 14th in FBS);
and Oklahoma has 12 sacks (tied for 16th in FBS)....
Georgia has 8 sacks (tied for 52nd in FBS). Some of that has to do with their level of competition (UGA has faced two good OLs in USCe and Clemson)...still, it would appear that UT has faced 3 pretty good pass rushing teams already, and only Oklahoma got to Worley consistently.
Oddly enough (if the stats online are correct), Georgia got 5 of their sacks vs Clemson, then have only had 3 sacks in their last two games (Troy and USCe).

USCe handled the UGA pass rush well. UGA really didn't go after Troy at all because the score was so lopsided.
Floyd, Jenkins, and co. brought the heat against Clemson.
