Seemed like a very high schoolish play call. Like a girls high school basketball gimmick.

Why would that require a link? It's common sense to assume a senior or junior year RB wouldn't want a freshman DLineman taking reps away from them.

No link so you can take it for what its worth. I played college baseball and I've worked a lot with college football teams.
If you were the starting running back, wouldnt you feel a little slighted? Heck, it is kind of a slap in the face to the OL as well. I certainly dont think Freeze intended it to be but I just dont think he used good judgement.

Freeze made many decisions this season that have been classified in the dumbass category.

It was dumb. Possessions were valuable and he kept throwing away downs on that garbage.

I think Freeze just runs like 4 different plays the whole game, just in different formations.

The issue here is not the 2 "surprise" carries he got back to back, it's the fact that he kept doing it.

I agree. I think part of the problem too was Robert tried to run east-west instead of just pounding it up the middle like they probably told him to.
