One of those loses could be to the Vols. Good luck. Incidentally, UT deserves, and will eventually get, a better coach than Dooley.

Have USC and Bama played each other since Sam Bam Cunningham caused Bama to intergrate? If USC falters all the love will be switched to Nike U.

That 1970 game is a myth. Bama already had a black freshman that didn't play and had already signed an incoming black recruit for 1971.

The Tide and Trojans last played in 1985 Hawaii Bowl or Haloa Bowl or some crap like that. 24-3 Bama.

I think USC better do the deal this year. After that CCK will continue to own that conference imo. He's smart enough to know what he has to do to take that last step. I wouldn't be surprised if he's the guy who breaks the SEC streak.

Yep, as I said earlier, USC is headed for some lean years. Oregon is sitting pretty to take that league over. Don't know if they will be the King Topplers though.

Upon further review, Oregon is facing its own day of judgement before the omnipotent NCAA. That reckoning could significantly alter my previous statement.

Yeah, who knows. But to CCK's credit he has stated that dealing with a dominant front 7 is a must. The question is, can he get the talent and, can he accomplish this and still run his type of O. I don't know if this can be done but if anyone can solve that problem, it's Coach Kelly.

Googled Lyles and Oregon. It appears the severity is dependent on which site one visits. A recruiting violation is a major by rule. The sanction, as you intimated, is at the whim of the NCAA.

Fast, smart(somewhat) and big defensive fronts are where football at championship levels are won. I fear the rest of the country is starting wake up to this fact. Kelly is smart enough to know this. Everyone is in love with Barkley and his all world receiver, but it's dang hard to complete passes with some corn fed southron youth laying on your face 2.1 seconds after the snap.

From what I know reading the papers, the evidence against Oregon is pretty damning. $25,000 for out dated recruiting info? The severity of sanction just depends on the whims of the emperor in Indy.

Right. LSU and a few other schools used his service but paid the common rate. That 25K was way out of whack. I've heard some Duck arguments that CCK isn't a business man and simply didn't know better. I would think a few guys would have to give authority to spend that kind of money though and surely they would checked the going rates. One point though, from what I remember reading. There were several different packages with varying prices. Oregon apparently did order the most expensive one. Also, the poor information wasn't known till check sent and product received. I believe this was the case for everyone. Lyles is a scam artist. Oregon is going to have to give a very good reason for that price tag. We'll see.
