who was better iyo? UGA or USCe.

That's a hard question to answer. USCe spanked our arse from start to finish. Very impressed with every aspect of their football team, especially their defense, although our offensive play calling was, well, offensive.

We were competitive through 3 quarters with UGA until they pulled away in the 4th. We had them at home though, and I suspect UGA would of spanked our arse as equally if the game was played Athens.
The player I was most impressed with from both teams though was Jarvis.

You don't know Mizzou fans yet because if ya did, you wouldn't even asked that question.

Hell no we aren't wishing we were back in the Big 12. We have been beaten far worse than this. Especially during our "lost in the wilderness" years of the 80s and 90s. We knew how tough this conference would be when we demanded the move. We wanted to have a secure home, and being in the same conference as Texas doesn't provide that.

We will most definitely take our lumps for a while, but atleast for me, I still love being in the SEC...and to be honest, still fricking proud of it.

No fricking way, I want to play the best and hope that exposure to real football teams can get our reefer headed freak of an OC out.

Good question and wish I could answer that. I don't care if Berk was playing against 2nd and 3rd stringers, regardless you can see he has a cannon for an arm and makes quick decisions after scanning the field. I'm just so sick of Franklins' mellow attitude and just not seeming to care one way or the other.

Side Note: I'm not saying playing against 2nd and 3rd stringers didn't help Berk, but the kid has moxie and can easily see he has a strong arm.

I'm not sure about the UGA game, but Mizzou's one TD was a garbage touchdown with our second team in with like...25 seconds left.

Also, USC had 3 other occasions where we were at the MU 19, MU 1, and MU 15 but fumbled the ball away twice and turned the ball over on downs the 3rd time. On one possession, we TWICE muffed opportunities to score (80-TD run by Shaw called back, b2b 1st and goal downs stopped bc we let Shaw run it instead of Lattimore). Our score versus Mizzou wasn't indicative of how well we played that game...we left points on the field...

UGA had the one INT vs Mizzou but it was deep on their side of the field....they had a fumbled punt return lost, but again it was on their side of the field. No way of knowing if they would've scored anything on those possessions, had they not had the TOs...

Ask Kilo.. he seems to know.

His reasons:

Its because he is a redshirt freshman (oh wait, Oregon and Tamu are doing well with true freshman)

Its because Franklin is a 2 year starter (oh wait, he is only a one year starter, oops).

Its because Franklin is... oh wait there is no other reason.

Berks is the better passer and just as good of a north/south runner. The change will happen at some point, hopefully sooner than later.

Remember UGA scored 2 TDs that required a total of 6 offensive yards.

Trying to break this down and decide who is better between these two 21 point losses is really dumb. There is a lot more that goes into it.

I will say, I did feel dominated after this game.

BUT...

It wasn't exactly the domination that is being portrayed. Mizzou's defense was all over people in the first quarter. This game could very well have been 14-7 at the half instead of 21-3. That would have set things up very differently.

You left points on the field, but you also scored points from getting set up with our special teams breakdowns. And that same logic can be used for us, leaving points on the board when we didn't score in the red zone. It goes two ways.

I'll say I felt SC beat us worse than UGA. But, and this is a big but... we played much worse in the UGA game. Killed ourselves with the poor special teams. Not making an excuse for the lack of offense, just saying we did play a lot worse verse SC.

Jeez. Man up man. If it wasn't for the division 2 offensive line our offense could be doing things, which would have a huge effect on our defense bc it would allow them to keep from getting gassed so early in the game.

It won't take 20 years. It is a shame though, because we may not have a player like Sheldon Richardson on defense in 2 years when we finally have the line depth that is needed.
