I'd think this very unlikely. But I have to admit, Spurrier might be the one guy who could get the LHN to take off. Hell, I might subscribe to listen to him.

D'antonio would be an incredible hire. In the right job, he may be the next superstar coach.

The guy who wrote that had to be hitting a crack pipe or is a fricking moron. Spurrier is closer to retirement than rebuilding Texas. Despite his huge ego, Steve likes the beach, his golf and his family. The guy is pretty dialed in at USCe.

Richt? Seriously? Despite some UGA folks fussing, he is a perfect fit at Georgia. Richts problems tend to be knucklehead coordinators.

Then he names idiot of idiots, Dabo. Please. Unless Texas wants to be a laughing stock, Dildo Sweeney is not the answer.

As I recall ,there was another Michigan State coach that showed up in the SEC and worked out ok. I figure Dantonio would OWN the 12.

I approve of Texas picking anyone from this list because it means my coach isn't going anywhere...unless another really good job opens up in the wake of this hiring then he'll of course be thrown out as a possibility for it. I hate these waiting games. It's not good for your heart, no matter how young you are.

I'd expect to see this on the Coaching Changes boards rather than from an actual sports writer

That guy needs to put the bong down. Or at least pass it this way.

I thought Texas was trying to get rid of a doddering, senile coach?

Love Spurrier. He is not mentioned in coaching changes any longer.

Why so much trash talk in this thread from sc fans? Fact is. Uga has accomplished more under richt than sc under spurrier.

I posted on the CC board a week ago that I thought Mark Dantonio and Chip Kelly was one of the top three candidates to Texas and got blasted for it.

However I don't think Texas wants Spurrier due to his age. Dantonio 57>68 Spurrier
