Regardless of contract, most fanbases would already be calling for a coaches head after one 0-8 year. If I had told Arkansas fans immediately after JLS was fired that their next coach (whoever it would be) would go 0-8 in his first year, you all would have also said it would have been a bad hire and he should be canned.
Right after JLS was canned we didn't realize just how shifty of a job Petrino did at building for the future.

A rational person would make no such claim. As I said in the other thread, he inherited a dumpster fire that lost a ton of talent and didn't have much talent to replace it. All that while trying to do a complete 180 with the style of the program. No one in there right mind should have expected a better season.
If he goes 0-8 again then his seat will be very warm.

Don't you remember, we all said we would go undefeated last year.

No, but most of you said 6-8 wins and a victory over Auburn.

And this excuse right here is going to keep Bielema off the hot seat for a good long while.

So Arkansas doesnt have the muscle to beat 6-7 Rutgers? Or stay within three touchdowns of the worst Florida team in 25 years?

7-5/8-4 was thrown around a lot. You were gonna beat Auburn, A&M and MSU for sure.

We gave away the Rutgers game with a backup... Collins fumbled under a minute inside the 10 to win against MSU forcing OT and we gave up a Hail Mary to LSU in the closing minutes...we beT ourselves in all 3 games

It may be an excuse but it isn't inaccurate. Our D talent is/was horrible and our play calling on D last year didn't help. Ash didn't know what press coverage was, every play CB's lined up 10 yards back which is on BB ultimately.
And I'm in awe of the QB situation(lack there of) that was left for BB after JLS/Petrino.
We were left with DL talent so there's that...

We have a 3 headed monster at RB... If Allen doesn't give games away then we should win enough for bowl eligibility...not where I want us to be but it is what it is

I would go back and quote myself but I'm lazy. I said anywhere from 5-7 to 7-5, 8-4+ if we got really lucky.
LSU, MSU, and Rutgers were all "winnable" coming down to the wire. It didn't happen, tough shite for us.
It's not like we could predict we would get Derpy'd.

Yes, you could possibly go 2-6 in conference and sweep out of conference. I could see that.
4-5 wins seems more likely though.

6 wins was pissed away last year with a tougher schedule not to mention less experience and talent. Not the case this season. I don't expect 8+ but we can achieve a bowl game

If Bielema goes 0-8 in conference play again, does he get fired? Or is Arkansas not serious about football?
Posted on 6/7/14 at 8:15 pm to TeLeFaWx
They explained: he can't be it would cost too much.

Does anybody pay $2 for USA Today? i read it if its free in a hotel.

That would be stupid to fire a coach who just has two recruiting classes. If you lost your starting QB like we did, most schools would have to play conservative and run the football. We did just that with two backs gaining 2000 yards when the other team new we had to run. We will not play left handed this year.

That all is very true.
