McClain and Jackson have started every game of every year they have been in the league. They aren't superstars, but they aren't busts.

They are considered busts because of where they were drafted. Ro was a top 10 pick and Jackson was in the top 20 of the 1st round.

And he's been a starter for 6 straight years with the same organization. How is that a bust at the #20 pick? That is asinine. They gave him a four year extension in March 2015.

Plenty of shitty players start on NFL teams. The Saints are littered with them.

No.

Just signed a huge 4 year, $34Mil contract extension with $20Mil guaranteed. So, no.

Mark Barron

Has turned into a badass linebacker for the Rams. Had 16 tackles a few weeks ago. Maybe not living up to his hype as a safety, but definitely not a bust. Yet.

Dre Kirkpatrick

Having a good year for Cinci as a full time starter. They picked up his 5th year option for $7+ Million. Gruden wouldn't stop sucking him off the other night on MNF.

Terrence Cody

2nd round draft pick that started for 3 years in Baltimore. I wouldn't classify him as a bust.

The only guy on your list that should be considered a bust is Trent Richardson.

That's pretty damn good for a team that's put 15 players in the 1st round.

So players that aren't all pros are busts?

Wow, should we go down the list of all the LSU grads that fit that category? Might be here a while.

What?! I understand he is having a bad year, but it's only his second season and he was one of the most productive rookies in the league last year.

I don't think SOG was trying to say all those players were busts. He was just using that list to make a point about how Bama players are scrutinized.

LOL - using your same logic to Alabama guys all of those players are busts except for Dwayne Bowe. Landy, Jackson, Brockers, Randle, Reid and Hill have all totally underperformed their pick spot.

To me it just shows why Saban is so good in college. He builds his defenses to win in college and that doesn't necessarily translate to the NFL. He overwhelms over 90% of the teams he plays with talent and size that gets equalized in the NFL and that's perfectly fine. He's paid to win college football games.

I agree he is not a bust. I did not develop the criteria, Yat did. Under his criteria he's a bust.

I didn't develop shite. Google Alabama football busts and see what comes up. I didn't make up that list.

Guys drafted since 2010

- Rolando McClain, starting MLB
- Kareem Jackson, starting CB
- Marcell Dareus, starting DT
- Mark Barron, starting OLB
- Dre Kirkpatrickm, starting CB
- Donta Hightower, starting MLB
- Courtney Upshaw, starting rush end
- Quinton Dial, starting DE
- CJ Mosley, starting MLB
- HaHa Clinton Dix, starting FS
- Landon Collins, starting Safety

Yeah, clearly those guys haven't translated to the NFL. They all suck.

Ro's an interesting one.

First three years? Bust by every measure.

Retires, unretires, retires again. Sits out an entire year.

And then somehow comes back and is playing the best football of his NFL career.

Go figure....
