Oh, right, I forgot. Y'all beat Missouri and are back to being playoff contenders. I apologize for forgetting LSU fans were schizophrenic.

Ummm, I'm pretty sure they would because that would mean they had a hell of a season and got to play in a major bowl game. What a tool

It's easy to say that when your program just got throttled to the tune of 49-10.

But ask Michigan State..would you rather get blanked, no, demoralized in a playoff or win the Rose Bowl?

This is what I don't get in the various projections. It's unlikely that LSU wins more than 2 of their games coming up in that stretch. 6-5 team invited to the Outback?

Music City, Outback, Texas, Gator, Belk, and Liberty are on equal footing now. The SEC decides who goes where w/those 6 bowls so that we no longer get the same matchups in the same locations year after year.

SEC auto bid bowl tiers currently go like this

quote:

#1 College Football Playoff. Automatic berth to one of the New Year's Six bowl games, the Sugar Bowl versus Big 12 #1 in years the Sugar Bowl is not a CFP Semifinal.
#2 The Citrus Bowl versus Big Ten.
#3/4/5/6/7/8 The Outback Bowl versus Big Ten.
#3/4/5/6/7/8 The TaxSlayer Bowl versus ACC or Big Ten.
#3/4/5/6/7/8 The Music City Bowl versus ACC or Big Ten.
#3/4/5/6/7/8 The Texas Bowl versus Big 12.
#3/4/5/6/7/8 The Belk Bowl versus ACC.
#3/4/5/6/7/8 The Liberty Bowl versus Big 12.
#9 The Birmingham Bowl versus American.
#10 The Independence Bowl versus ACC.

As long as you don't play in B-ham or Shreveport it really isn't too bad.

Although, as a Charlottean, our weather that time of year isn't very fun for a mid-tier bowl game

Ummm. I'm pretty sure that those guys (most who are no longer at MSU because of graduation or NFL) were probably glad they went to the playoff and lost. Nothing in this world makes an individual stronger in their life than experiences, positive or negative. It's what you do with your situation that matters the most. That was a game until halftime from what I remember. Not many teams can say that about Bammers. To answer your question, Michigan State wasn't going to win the Rose Bowl last year, dumbass. STANFORD would have rolled every big ten opponent besides Ohio State last year. Might as well lose to the national champ. That is our mentality in the SEC anyways baw!

The matchup implies the higher bowl game.

Not really. The prognosticator didn't give us any indication as to what he thinks the final records would be. For all we know he just slapped a bunch of names in there w/little consideration just like how Jerry Palm at CBS blatantly does.

Regardless, the odds of LSU going to the Outback this year are extremely low b/c they last played there following the 2013 season. Music City and Texas are also out b/c those are their last two bowl games.

If LSU goes to one of the 3rd tier SEC bowls they are going to end up in the TaxSlayer (Gator), Belk, or Liberty.
