I think you cock fans forget you have 8 more games to go including Florida. You guys got the lucky arse draw of the shitty teams of the SEC (besides us) that you play twice.

I'm not ragging on them really. I did last year since they weren't as good as advertised. They are good this year though and definitely a tourney team. It'll be interesting to see how UK, Florida, and USC finish this season out. The only tourney teams from the SEC this year.

But you are ragging on us. Right now we lead the SEC which is something to be happy about. Quit making excuses as to why we are leading the SEC. A lot can happen between now and March.

I know it's still early but at least fun to talk about. If the Cocks win the SEC regular season, what a nice way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their only other SEC regular season title.
All I seem to remember from around that time was Kentucky with 3 consecutive NCAA title appearances, Mississippi State being decent with a Final Four, and Arkansas not far removed from back-to-back title appearances and a win.
Was the 1997 Cock team equally good or was it a surprise considering UK's, Arky's, and MSU's presence?

That 1997 team was excellent in conference play, but suspect before and downright horrible in the NCAA. I think 15-1 in conference but 24-8 overall.

This is pathetic.
Its UK, UF, SC and everyone else. I would argue UGA is 4th. We play UF and UGA twice and dodged Kentucky. I wouldn't call that lucky. Bottom line is if UF would have beat us they would be in first. Other games have nothing to do with it.

They don't understand that. They were so cocky (no pun intended) about their 17-0 start to last season when it was basically 17 straight wins over teams like Mizzou.
South Carolina is certainly a tourney team right now. I expect them to be a 6 seed at this point. Unless they completely implode here at the end, they're in.

We were excited lol. It happens. We didn't have any success in the other sports last year so we went all out on basketball
