That is just not the case at all schools. If you skip class at Bama, you do not pay.
Why did the NCAA let UNC off scott free ? Because the NCAA makes all its money off of the NCAA tourney, that's why.
The NCAA has killed college basketball, the NBA which I did not use to like, is 20 times better than college basketball.
Many things have destroyed it. AAU ball is number one, you get kids plying 40-60 games a year, best vs. best, and that throws them into an elite category, having played at a high level, vs. the average college player who might not have made elite AAU teams. The high school player should play high school ball, and not semi pro ball. This very AAU thing is what started the straight from high school moves in the beginning. Then you have the AAU coaches getting paid by certain college coaches to "steer" players to them, the AAU coaches no doubt gets and gives.
Simple to solve. NCAA just say no college can give scholarships to AAU players.
Problem solved. CBB players would be young freshmen again, willing to learn their craft.

Can't believe I actually agree with you on all of this!

Thread title is very misleading. Auburn and UGA have not been announced in any current NCAA investigation and they are not being individually sued.
You need to get that kind of reading comprehension out of here

UPDATED NCAA Investigating 20 Schools,Academic Fraud: UGA & Auburn in Lawsuit
Everything you say is correct, but is nice to see UGA listed as they are the most pretentiousness superior thinking fans around. Truly think they have integrity while everyone around them is dirty.
We certainly are pretentiousness superior....

13 pages and still no comment on the burning question in this whole OP...
Ohio and Texas have both had basketball and football success and Kentucky certainly has an above average number of successful basketball schools.
How in the holy hell is New Mexico on this list? Does any New Mexico school have a MNC, NCAA banner, or CWS? Even if they are cheating it certainly does not seem to be helping them to win!

The lawsuit cites cases of alleged academic cheating at Syracuse, Berkeley, Michigan State University, University of Georgia, Auburn University, Florida State University, the University of Michigan and several other schools from Texas to Ohio, Kentucky to New Mexico.

Because in 2004, they were popped for academic cheating. Which for the hundredth time, is what this lawsuit is about. FFS.
