They too poor to change coaches in BB and FB in the same year.
Once JJ has no buyout they will kick him to the curb and bring in a jr high coach from Morgan City.

my guess is they don't want to make another Coach O type hire. So don't throw the baby out with the bath water just yet

How many more women does Pitino get to have sex with on dinner tables in public restaurants?

Is LSU and Misery going to get into a bidding war for Crean? They both think they are getting Marshall but that pompous asshat is going to take the next good ACC job, maybe NC State.
If I were you, I'd be ringing the MTSU guy's phone off the hook.

If he needs to find his champion inside he needs to head over to knoxville

Alleva is going to contact Crean and Mike Brey. Once they give him a reasonable figure for their services, he's going to end negotiations in a huff and give the job to current assistant, Brendan Suhr.

MTSU guy is Kermit Davis, and he wants it. Word is LSU doesn't want him. Former LSU assistant under Brady. And given that he's a Brady disciple, I hope they don't want him.

Once again, coaching salaries, buyouts, new contracts, etc. HAVE LESS THAN ZERO to do with:
1. The University.
The University is not "broke" or "poors." Only 11% of the entire LSU System budget (campuses throughout the state) comes from La. State Government, and nothing has even been cut from that small portion yet.
2. Louisiana.
Louisiana's economy is doing just fine, even with the downturn in oil prices. Oil and gas, tourism, agriculture are all prospering.
3. State Government.
Governor Edwards and the state legislature are currently working on budget issues and possible cuts and deficits with an eye to balancing the budget, while not raising taxes.
4. LSU Athletic Department
Gets NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOTTTTTHHHHHHIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGG from the State, is COMPLETELY self-sufficient and self-supporting, and handles all coaching contracts.
LSU is one of the few U.S. college Athletic Departments that makes healthy profits every year and does not rely on any state assistance.
5. Alumni and donor giving and donations
LSU receives alumni and fan support in the form of monetary donations through the Tiger Athletic Foundation, LSU Alumni Association, and the LSU Foundation, among others.
6. Don't make up crap out of your head you know absolutely NOTHING about....

LSU has relieved men's basketball coach Johnny Jones of his duties.
LSU athletic director Joe Alleva is expected to make the official announcement at 11 a.m.
A source also told The Times-Picayune that assistant coaches Randy Livingston, Robert Kirby and Brendan Suhr have all been let go as well.

I think LSU should go after Steve Forbes at ETSU. he was Pearl's top assistant at UT. Then he went to NW Florida State and went 61-6 over two seasons. He then spent a year under Marshall at Wichita State. He's won the SoCon now in his second season after finishing 2nd last year, compiling a 51-19 record so far. He won both the conference and regular season title this year.
I'm not sure LSU will pony up the cash for a proven coach nor do I think a proven coach would be all that interested in the LSU job.
