You're an idiot.
I've been to games at FedEx and literally probably 25 games at AAC in Dallas. We don't have bars and restaurants in Bud Walton obviously, but from the court and from the stands, its the same level of environment.

Environment =/= quality of the arena

Okay....
I realize you're really excited for Memphis having a pro sport. Tell us more about it.
Explain how the atmosphere is different. Be specific.
The primary difference between an NBA arena and Bud Walton arena is the availability of alcohol, and to some degree, the newness. BWA is 20 years old, afterall. Bud Walton only has a couple dozen suites where you can drink, and doesn't serve alcohol to the general public. Sorry you never made it into a suite.
Bud Walton seats 1500 more fans than the NBA arena in Memphis, all chairbacks (except for a few rows at the front of the student section).
You act like you think it is vastly different. It really isn't. Now if you were comparing Coleman or Tad Pad, yeah, its a laughable difference. Of course those arenas are laughable in general.
Not so much with Bud Walton.

Been to games in 7 nba arenas. Been to walton and barn hill, plus several other college arenas. I would put walton up with at least five of the nba arenas, and back in 1994, 95 I would put it up with all seven I have been to.

I've never been to Bud Walton. So let me get that out of the way. That said, I don't know why a college arena would want to model itself after a professional one. They're two really different things. And from what I hear about the Bud, it sounds waaaaay more intimidating/exciting than an NBA spot. Basically, I don't understand this pissing contest.
