I hope the dad of one of those kids shoots him in the face. He should be raped in prison everyday if he is allowed to breathe on this earth.

ETA: love the downvotes for thinking people who distribute child porn should be shot

Why plea bargain this? Dude needs time behind bars, not time served and probation.

From reading the article it sounds pretty likely that this was more along the lines of sharing snapchat type stuff. I don't think he gets this plea if it's what most of us think when we hear "child porn" and the article seems to subtly imply that too.

He plea bargained down to breach of peace. I have no idea why the prosecutor would do this. Anyone who distributes child porn should be put 6 feet under. IDC the circumstances.

This.

Snapchat in HS with freshman girls would probably violate laws.

From the ESPN article today: “shared two images of young girls being sexually abused”

Apparently some people on this site believe child porn isn't a big deal if its a 17 year old and they guranteed me that he would be doing time if it were as heinous as I was thinking. Glad some people like to blur the lines here amiright. Hope this shuts up the pedo apologists

I thought I remember it being prepubescent sexual assault pictures

If not , I know it implied they were young enough to be obviously illegal. That’s not the case with a 17 year old. It would be impossible to tell for sure if they were 17 or 18 without research. I’m pretty sure they were real young

No DA who likes to keep their job is bending over backwards to go lenient on a child porn defendant. Clearly the circumstances of the case led to this outcome.

Florida law is lacking.

I'm basing it on the Orlando Sentinel article saying his defense was thinking they were of age and that the other two images found could have been "problematic" (or similar soft language like that). Plus the judge's comments of "go out and do great things in the world now." It all just sounded rather unlikely, even for a single incident of sharing real child porn.

You may well be right about the circumstances, but any reasonable society draws a pretty stark line between a teenage selfies and prepubescent children. One is immoral dirtbag territory and one is a contingent of mentally ill people who very commonly act on overwhelmingly evil impulses.

He shared two images known to be child porn (how he was caught) and had three more on his phone.

Dude is lucky the DA and /or Feds decided to go soft on him.

The absolute win in that charge is it isn’t a felony and he doesn’t go on predator list.

The article said he posted two pictures on Discord. Does anyone know what the images were of? If it's just some high school nudity then he got a fair charge. If it was some kid under 10 being abused then they should have given him a bigger charge.

He just now has name linked to the words child pr0n anytime you search his name online, so that's basically being on the predator list when it comes to finding a job.
