That's pretty crazy that we have five teams in the Super Regionals.

5 of 16 doesn't seem all that crazy to me, though I appreciate the conference success as much as the next guy. Now... 5 of 8... that would be crazy. And it may happen.

And down goes #1 overall seed, UCLA. Bruins lose Game 7 by the score of 2-1 to the Terps

Impressive win for Maryland, now won 2 straight regionals @ South Carolina & UCLA. Pretty damn impressive.

We played Maryland very early in the year, they dudes can play. They whipped us 13-6 I think.

I'm not sure who is generally considered to have the tougher SR matchup but I don't like facing FSU before Omaha.

Man LSU had one of the easiest if not the easiest regional and we have without a doubt the easiest super. Thanks NCAA and ULL. Hopefully we dont blow it.

Vandy unloaded yesterday. They scored more runs than their football team scored in eight games last season.

They should play Radford in football.

If Arkansas can get past the Supers, I really like the Hogs potential set up in Omaha.

I think in 2000, the SEC had 4 of the 8 teams. Time to eclipse that record.

When I saw our match ups I jumped for joy. What's crazy is UNCW is probably the toughest team going into Omaha for LSU. Not gonna sleep on ULL, though. They have gotten hot but the talent gap is pretty vast between the teams.

I liked our draw a lot. Other than maybe Miami and UVA we have the easiest road to Omaha.

Looking ahead(frick it i'm not on the team), will be a tough road to get to the champ series from our side of the bracket if we get there.

Naw it's easier than Miami imo and it's without question easier than UVA's.

Quick comparison.

LSU's road vs A&M's road (RPI)
Super 34 / 10
#2 23 / 19
#3 49 / 29
#4 233 / 156

This is not a dick measuring contest or anything. It is what it is. LSU was given an easy regional and got an upset to face an easy team in the supers (relatively speaking). I fully expect the #1 in the country to walk through those teams and they're half way there. If was the other way around I wouldn't give a shite. What ultimately matters is the CWS. No one will remember that one road was harder.

Not to mention the #2 overall team should have an easier road than a non national seed. LSU is reaping the benefits of their regular season success.

True. So much for the #1 seed and all the west coast BS this year. Pac went 0fer in the regionals and UCSB lost their own regional too.

Maybe UVA but I think Miami has the easiest road.

I'd argue ULL and UNCW is tougher than Columbia/VCU.

UVA didnt have to face their 1 seed. USC could just hit(little league fielding and pitching). Maryland will be a tough out but they get them at home and Maryland(according to the committee was a last 4 in team).

Splitting hairs because all these teams including LSU had easy roads.

But the with the essence of a regional. You arent going to be able to balance every regional according to skill and get teams close in proximity.
