LSU-Alabama has been the biggest game in the west for the last few years, and before that, it was LSU-Auburn.

Alabama and LSU finished third and fourth in the SEC West in 2010.

We don't have an SEC rival and we don't want one. Clemson takes too much energy to hate in the first place. This is simply a survey of if we HAD to choose. Of course it would be UGA and UF because they're within the proper proximity.

They should've factored in ooc rivals, specifically Florida State for UF and Clemson for USC.

And tech for us, since they are our biggest rival.

60.5 % of LSU fans say Bama? And <4% of Bama fans say LSU? At least that puts to bed who is -sessed. Even if y'all think we are your rival, don't say it. It looks bad.

Link me to where I have ever said otherwise.

I've always said Auburn and Tennessee are Bama's rivals.

I've never heard Bama fans say differently.

You are a dumbshit. You youngins know nothing and I mean nothing about what Ole Miss and LSU was about. It was Halloween.....It was Baton Rouge most every season....It was night.....it was tough......it was mean.....Billy Cannon.....Y.A. Tittle...Chunkin Charlie Conerly....Jake Gibbs.....Vaught vs. Dietzel......Cholly Mac....unfortunately, we haven't faired well the last 40 years or so and LSU has done much better......even though they had some rocky times too in the 90's.....

But don't come in here with that typical Bama fan arrogance acting like it's you on that field getting paid like your players by those coaches. You aren't. You are just a fan that was easily swayed by the bright lights. Now go frick yourself.

We've noticed.

It's Archie's fault, to be honest.

He didn't make enough sons and his sons didn't hop right on making lots of grandsons.

2003 was just the way I'd like to see our rivalry be rekindled every year.

I call horseshite.

No Gamecock fan would put Georgia over Clemson. Now, if we're talking strictly within the conference - then maybe. But even then Tennessee would have gotten a larger percentage than showing above.

And are Georgia fans really putting Florida that far ahead of Auburn? Makes me wonder.

And if Bama fans don't care anymore about Tennessee than 16% ... then scrub that yearly series and let's get on with a more equitable scheduling model.

When was that survey taken ... in the mid 90s?

Obviously that was a slight "flaw" with the survey.

Nah, let 'em keep it. Just add a 9th conference game and get back to where we were with 2 rotating cross division games. It's going to happen. And refuse to expand ever again unless we add a 10th conference game or drop permanent cross divisional opponents. In other words, no to future expansion.

This blows my mind. I thought it was just an interweb thing with the Hog fans.

I mean who else are we going to pick? I doubt Texas was an option on the survey. It looks like the choices were SEC schools only.

If they did that survey now I bet the LSU number would be a little lower and A&M would replace Ole Miss and be a lot higher than 26%.

It is conference only. Pretty much a multiple choice and they had to pick one of them. Most animosity goes towards UGA here, just because of the close games and the close proximity from one another. Doesn't mean we consider them rivals.

This is what I noticed. Here I thought this rivalry was important enough to dictate the schedules of the whole conference. Truly the lamest rivalry in the sec.

I remember that poll. There was some bitterness for HDN among Arkansas fans then, but there has always been a faction of Arkansas fans who consider Ole Miss a rival. I'm not among them.

The reason most answered with LSU is because we've been told that LSU is our rival. I'm surprised there wasn't any mention of Alabama or Auburn, but while most Arkansas fans want to beat Alabama, they also have connections there and like the Tide. Again, I'm not one of them.

Also a little surprised not to see Tennessee listed, but then we don't play them yearly anymore. Personally, I don't consider anyone a rival, except maybe Texas A&M.
