Our new "rivalry" with Mizzou is the "Battle Of the Columbias"

Better than the battle of the walmart greeters. Both school's should lobby the waltons to put up some cash for the winner of the game. Say $1 million to the endowment of the school that wins the walmart game each year. Pocket change for them and the ceo could present the check to the winning team with trophy.

at this point if you don't understand why Mizzou is in the SEC you are being willfully ignorant.

Ugh. No. Under no circumstances do you want UNC in the SEC. You people call Missouri yankees? UNC would revel in such terminology. UNC makes U-Texas look humble.

If you have to bring in an NC school, NC State is the best cultural fit, by far.

I wouldn't expect you to. The people in charge of the decision are much smarter than you.

Missouri is in the SEC because we really needed another team and they were lucky to get in.

No offense but based on population trends Missouri was a very poor alternative to the schools in North Carolina or Virginia.

The SEC would benefit from another east coast team. Except for Texas, FLorida, and Georgia the SEC states are showing very little population growth.

The SEC was very lucky to get Mizzou, IMO. The academics wanted a good academic school which mizzou is, the bean couters wanted a state school in which that school was the big dog in state. So, Mizzou, while not a perfect for the fans as some might say was very good for the SEC and Mizzou. They will grow into their role in the SEC, just like arkie and USCe. Both are up and down right now but both have put a good product on the field and have won titles in other sports other than football which have made the SEC look good. I welcome Mizzou with open arms and good luck in the future. It will take a little time.

No offense, but Mizzou is a state with almost zero growth and will NEVER be much more than they are now.

By contrast Virginia has a population of 2.2 million more than Mizzou and the population is growing 6x faster than Mizzou.

North Carolina has a population of 3.7 million more than Mizzou and the population is growing 13 x faster.

Schools in NC and Va WILL become a lot more relevant in the future and the SEC would have done much better getting a school from one of those states.

To think this could have or ever will is absolutely retarded. I have no clue why this gets brought up every day with people saying the same shite.
