Put a committee in charge of a decision where millions of $ are at stake. Nothing could go wrong there.

Biased against the SEC? That's rich.

Remember this?

Or this?

If anything, the committee has always shown a propensity to give one league extra leeway because they feel it's the strongest. This season, that's the Big Ten, where you have multiple 2-loss teams that are still ranked extremely high. If you put Wisconsin in say, the ACC or Big 12 with their same record and losses to top 5 opponents, I'd be willing to guess they aren't in the top 7. Probably around 12 or 13.

If the SEC East wasn't a pile of wet garbage this season, then Florida would be getting more respect than they are. Auburn looked fantastic until Sean White was injured, had he stayed healthy and they beat Georgia and play Bama close, they'd likely still be in the Top 10.

Winning the national championships 80% of the time has its advantages.

for me. i cant figure out how anyone can thump their chest over any win, when according to "THE COMMITTEE" losses dont count. we've heard all year about the b1g being the best conference. well of course they are when it takes 3 losses for a b1g team to fall out of the top ten. its pretty dang easy to crow about being the best when you dont have to worry about losses adversely affecting your position.

and yes, the sec is way down this year. not even arguing that point.

Honestly, the playoff picks have been pretty cut and dry so far. They may have a chance to make a controversial pick this season but it is unlikely

based on BCS formula

Because no one ever complained about bias in the BCS, right?

Just stop using opinions to pick teams already. 8 conference champions in a play off.

Simple, objective, entertaining.

They are B1G Ten biased.

Not this year. If Penn State and Colorado win this weekend, then Michigan will have beaten 2 conference champions...if Wiscy wins, then Ohio State will have beaten 2. They've beaten good OOC opponents and they deserve their rankings. If Bama wins this weeekend, then the next best team in the SEC will have 4 losses...the last time that happened was like 20 years ago. The Big 10 and the ACC have been better conferences this year than the SEC...

What's gonna be interesting to me is to see what the committee will do if Bama, Clemson, and Washington all win, and then Penn State beats Wiscy convincingly. In that scenario, they'd just 'bout have to include Bama, Clemson, and Washington. Then who would they put in...a 1-loss OSU with a great SOS or a 2-loss Penn State team that would hold both the conference champion and head-to-head edges over OSU? Gonna be very interesting if that scenario plays out...
