Extremely sad. Wonder if it had something to do with his knee surgery.
ETA: Can't imagine hearing this news and then having to play/coach a ball game just a few hours later. Hate that these things happen.

From what I've seen, they think it was a surgery related blood clot. Really sad and really unfortunate.

Agreed. Good friends mother died this way after knee surgery. Really unexpected and just an awful situation all around.
