I'm not trolling with that. He was a beast in that game. It's no knock on State, just praise of Whitlow.

But HH might have a point. Mullen probably had money on that game and the BGSU game.

Patrick Towles will start. Drew Barker will redshirt. Mark it down.

This is true.

Whitlow doesn't fit in the system that our coaches want to run.

My impression as well. Stoops played what he had to play last season only because he could not play what he wanted to. As he fills his roster to catch up with the offensive demands of the system he wants, players unable to fit will find new homes.

Dude has several years of Joker to unwind and this will be a transition season. 2015 will be the year players will more match the system.

True, but, you will see a lot of "Stoops" on the field this year too. Looking forward to it.

As a former lineman I grew up in the 3 tier system in the south

Tier 1 = Fat (freshman year)
Tier 2 = Way too fat (sophomore year)
Tier 3 = Goddam son! (junior or senior year)

It will take another year to fatten them fellers up to play full steam SEC ball.

If we fatten Elam up any more, he may never make it onto the field.

Using Jared and the freshman 50 I think Elam needs to at least roll 400 by his sophomore year. Have to get back where lineman weigh more than the QB.
