Doubtful. So far this season the offense has pretty much just been get a lead and hold onto it as long as possible before a bad snap forces you to punt it.

This is what gives me confidence. Carolina has great red zone defense. So as long as we can keep the UK offense in front of us, I don't anticipate them scoring a ton.

The only thing that I am a little worried about would be how our run game stands up to the UK run D. Currently ranked very high, but as I said before, competition was at a lower level.

On second thought, I'd put Southern Miss above Mizzou at this point.

The run defense against Southern Miss was legit imo. Their offense is focused around Ito Smith. I think Southern Miss will likely win their conference this year and Ito Smith is a future NFL player (Likely a special teams guy since he's so short). How we hold up at Defensive tackle against an SEC team may be a different matter all together though. I guess we'll find out if Southern Miss is actually any good in November when they visit the Vols.

The EKU game we played completely uninspired football for a half, totally our fault but they're also a team that would rather throw the ball than run it (I think they only had like 20 rushing attempts the entire game) so I'm not sure you can really put any stock in that one at all.

Big talk from LSU considering they've played in the music city bowl, Texas bowl the last few years
and lost to notre dame. not a good choice for him to use the MCB as an example - poor reel tigger.

his team also played in the lowest attended "Buffalo Wild Wings" Citrus Bowl since 1979 - last season. they were one of the teams in the '79 game as well. coincidence?

LSU hasn't played in 'big' bowl game since they couldn't cross the 50 yard-line in the 2011 BCS title game vs Alabama.

Yeah, I think this game will be a bit like the NC St. game for us, in that we'll be attacking through the air more. We'll see though, I think it will be a very good game.

Edit: Also slightly concerned about Snell. He's a good one.

I expect it to be as close and uncomfortable as a prostate exam. If it turns into a blowout It will be SC winning because I just don't believe this Kentucky offensive line is capable of leading a blow out.

Edit: My area of concern, well we never do a good job of covering TE's. Especially on delayed routes.

Good thing we have those in spades ha. I think the gameplan for us will almost definitely be pass to open up the run. If I were UK and I wanted to win I'd just pound Snell as much as possible. We got burned by Crockett & co. last week pretty badly. We also haven't had to deal with a mobile QB really, so it might be a good idea to try some designed QB runs. Not sure how we'd deal with that as we are very thin at LB.

Wow, so Vegas feels the Wildcats are 6pts better than the Gamecocks?

I have no skin in the game, however it will take a perfect game by Kentucky to win at SC.

No, they have SC as 6 point favorites.

ETA: and all due respect to SC, it's not gonna take a perfect game to beat them, but we do have our work cut out for us.

I think you all win a close one. 27-24 or something. Or that could be the amount of times I throw my remote at the tv.

UK is an underdog and rightfully so. USC has played 2 solid games and beat 2 decent opponents.

UK has played 2 lesser opponents and struggled greatly in both.

I do hope UK plays up to it's competition this week and make this an exciting game.

UK is not an underdog, this is the BEST defense we've fielded in the Mark Stoops era.

Were holding teams to just a couple of touchdowns. that means were only getting scored on in half of the game.

once our offense gets going, see you in Atlanta.
