The Sonic Boom of the South (Jackson State) played at State a few years ago and they were amazing.

I love the Golden Band from Tigerland, but those SWAC bands are flat out badass...

Baton Rouge has known about the Human Jukebox for years...they are legendary. Not sure if they still do it, but back when their legendary director-Dr. Isaac Greggs-ran the THJ, he would take crowd requests during the damn game.

Just amazing...

I would love for an SEC team to hire away one of those SWAC band directors but we all know why that will never happen

They drill the halftime score on the field, that is unreal. Extremely talented and entertaining.

I was at the game, their band was just like everyone else, no idea what all the fuss was about...

It was pathetic how terrible our fans were. They give a standing ovation for an opposing teams band, but barely even celebrate when we score??

Their band isn't like anyone else's in Major CFB. I respectfully disagree with you.

They are entertaining, but I always found their sound quality is crap.

I thoroughly enjoyed the show. To be honest with you, I really don't expect much of sound quality out of any marching band just due to outdoor acoustics and the fact that the direction is usually changing. In a halftime show, I just want to be entertained, and that is usually done with a really good percussion section and interesting formations. Southern certainly ticked off those boxes, and extra kudos to the tuba section hopping down the lines carrying that unwieldy instrument.

I've been saying this for years. UGA fans are shitty side-walkers, rednecks, trailer trash and down right embarrassing. Was there for the 2007 Sugar Bowl and it was amazing to see 40-50 year old hillbillies barking in the faces of Hawaii fans who are just trying to take in the scenery of New Orleans. Frick UGA.

They dance (mostly vulgar) and some find that entertaining. They sound terrible. Most of the time, it is hard to figure out what they are playing. Since they are supposed to be a musical group (band), I think music (i.e. the quality of the music) should be important.

Lol, why you so mad?? I just meant I hate how our fans were more excited about an opposing teams band than the game. But I'm sure it had a lot to do with playing a nobody school, I'm sure Tennesse and every other teams fans do this too. It's just a part of the game sadly.

Okay I know you're lying because Georgia fans spit on opposing fans, everybody knows that.
