You guys might not even win your division and play in the SEC championship game.

Oh wait...

If we don’t, it certainly won’t be because we got out coached.

ith Jim Chaney as your OC? Did you watch the game on Monday?

I did, and I saw us put up more points on Alabama than all but two of your other opponents. Could we have gotten more? maybe, but then we would have put up more than any of your other opponents.

I have high expectations for Kirby to get our D Line as ready as possible in the 2018 season but predicting for UGA to go to the NCG next year is too early and somewhat asinine. I personally think Kirby will possibly get us to the SECCG but whether we can win it with a young defense is debatable. In other words, don't get too cocky yet.

Why not?
Troy, Arkansas, Mississippi State and Alabama have all beaten LSU at LSU the last 3-4 of years. It's not like you are unbeatable there.

ETA
Add Florida....my bad!

Add the Gators to the list in a game that there was 0 chance we could win, according to LSU fans.

Auburn has one title in the last 60 years, so I'm not sure you have a lot of room to talk. But congrats, anyway on winning the West.

Added! I had forgotten about that one....which is dumb on my part after the meltdown we had on here!

Swift, White, Cook and Holyfield will be nearly on par as Chubb and Michel.

He is right about this. Note: He said "nearly on par".
Our OLine will be greatly improved over the next year or two, so that might make up the difference. That and a more experienced QB to help loosen defenses up a bit.

I won't predict a national Championship in any year. Contend for one? maybe. But nor predict one. There are too many variables, and Alabama to contend with. There is also a certain amount of luck involved.

Too lofty.

I suggest a mental goal like this ... my hope is that prior to starting the last SEC game of the season that my team has a shot at winning its division even if it requires some help.

That's really all you can ask for. If you can get some backdoor help into the playoffs, then that shite is just gravy. We were playing with house money and I did not expect us to even beat Clemson. So I was satisfied with any outcome. Any of the 4 teams (and maybe a couple on the outside) could have become National Champions.

Now, if you're not Bama, Georgia or Auburn (maybe Florida), then your goal should be a better bowl game destination than Shreveport, La.

Not true...Auburn has been selected national champions in 1983, 1993 and 2004. They also won the BCS in 2010 and like uga played for it in 2013 but did not win it.

Auburn doesn't recognize 1983, 1993 or 2004.

As to the OP...uga has a shot as does any team that will compete for the SEC title. Will they stay healthy again this year or if they have an injury will it benefit them again? Will the team stay focused? Will the young guys prepare like the older guys showed them? Will another team make a move on them? There are a lot of variables. uga has enough pieces that I'd be optimistic as well.

Doubtful. UGA will be good but 2019 looks like a better possibility for UGA.

Yeah UGA plays Muschamp and the cocks in week 2 in Columbia, could be a trap game right there. They're also @LSU and Mullen will have the Gators much more competitive. They're losing quite a bit of talent this year as well.

Yeah...the East got a big upgrade in coaching this year with Mullen to UF and Steele to UT. Muschamp is doing a good job at USC. Won't be a cakewalk for UGA plus they get AU and have to travel to LSU.
