I'm coming down from Ohio to tailgate and possibly go to the UGA/UNC game. I have never been to the Georgia Dome, nor tailgated there. Can anyone give me any info on what's around the dome or if they have jumbo trons around the stadium to watch the game. More than likely I'll just watch the game while tailgating, but I need to know if they have tv's around the stadium or if there's any bars right by the stadium. Thanks for any helps guys and GO DAWGS!!

Find someone with a TV at their tailgate, and make a friend.

There's a bar in the CNN center next to the dome. Plus I'm sure they will have some sort of set up in the Georgia World Congress Center

Are you meeting up with a friends or are y'all just wingin it? There are parking lots around the Georgia Dome. The Blue and the Yellow lots are going to be the best bets but I'd start looking online for a permit sooner than later if you're driving. There will be plenty of large tailgates in those lots so finding one with a TV won't be too hard.

And depending on where you're coming from and how much you have, Marta would be a good option.

As far as watching the game, there may or may not be a jumbotron to watch but I'm going to lean towards no. If you have kids with you or are just looking to kill a few hours, the Georgia World Congress Center usually has a FanFare. You should check it out.

The College Football Hall of Fame is nearby, too, and is well worth the time and $$. (About $21 and that is a bargain.)

Yes, I'd check this out as well. And it's close to Stats sports bar which will be crowded for game day but might be worth checking to see if you can snag a seat for the games.

I have probably been to 150 stadiums/arenas for basketball, baseball and football. The Georgia Dome is the absolute worst of all of them as far as tailgating goes

I am staying with my brother and riding MARTA to the game

MARTA is safe, clean & easy

it will be A LOT less expensive and aggravating than trying to park downtown (and safer, the stadium is by the ghetto & is a pretty dangerous area - security around the stadium will be pretty tight though, so nothing to worry about)

that Taco Mac really is the only bar worth going to that is in walking distance in a safe area

good luck and have fun!

Stats is a short walk and well worth it. It is near the embassy suites and CF HOF.

If you go to the yellow lot/marshaling yard area that are on the top of the picture posted above, it is your standard tailgate area that you will find literally anywhere else. Granted, there is nothing unique about it, but there is no reason for it to be 150/150. It is the same experience that you'll get at any NFL game
