Interesting stat, the last 2 Final 4s only had ONE 5 star that played.

We’re supposedly leading for Somto as well. Should be a solid freshmen frontcourt

Looking at the college basketball landscape, the top teams that advance in March are grown arse men and upper classmen.

They are teams with a good combination of both.
UConn isn't nearly as good as they were without Stephon Castle, who was a true freshman (#8 overall, 5-star).

UConn won it last year. Castle is the only 5 star to play in the Final 4 past 2 years.

And Castle was a huge reason why.
It's pretty clear that relying on a team of 18 year olds is not how you want to go. But having a roster of older players (transfers/guys who stayed in your program) + some NBA level true freshman is the preferred route.
