I could've gone all year without hearing a story like this. Just horrible. There are no words to comfort those who lose children, sisters, friends, girlfriends and classmates this way. Nothing but pure unadulterated tragedy.

Likewise. I can't imagine losing one of our children like this. It would be like a never ending nightmare. Prayers out to the families and friends. God Bless.

Several candlelight vigils were held today and tonight in Athens. Here's a couple photos from Tate Plaza:

As a parent with a child not much younger, this tragedy just breaks my heart for their families and friends.

From reading about them it sounds like the world will be a much lesser place without these young ladies. They were obviously beautiful on the outside but from reading about how active they were in their community and organizations, they were more beautiful on the inside.

May their families, friends, and the UGA student body find some comfort and peace during this tragic and sad time.

We can't dwell on how our lives can be changed and destroyed in one moment or else we would be paralyzed by fear but it is very sobering to contemplate how quickly our lives can be pulverized in one instant.

This wasn't the reaction this board had when two Southern-BR student-athletes were murdered a couple weeks ago.
