Sure it happens. It's hot as hell, guys are out there for hours on end, and shite gets chippy in a tackling drill. As a trainer I saw guys hit each other with their helmets much less fists. They went on to a bowl that season in a lower conference and were like family.
As others have said, if this shite is happening mid-season it's a different story.

Damn.. dude's a beast; arguably the best corner in the nation. Hate to see a player especially of his caliber go down like that, even if it's hated UF.

The sad thing is all reports said the offense was clicking and Fowler was making plays all over the field. For VH3 to go down in a brawl.

You must not watch Hardknocks. First episode a rookie linebacker and offensive line get into it. Guy tells ho me a rookie and to back down. Few plays later he chirps and another offensive lineman literally opens a can on this kid(who is a fricking beast). Half the defense runs over and tells him to NEVER take shite from someone you play against.
1. He's reassured that he has guys who have his back.
2. He gets experience in how he might be treated in the future by other opposing team.
3. Everybody on the team gets to see how tough and serious the kid was about working hard and playing tough football.
If nobody gets hurt it's a win win.

Terrible. I loved me some VH3 especially towards towards the end of the season when we really saw how good he was. I just hope it isn't serious enough that it limits him. Good luck Gators

Supposedly its a left knee "tweak". Anything regarding knee "tweaks" should be a cause for worry.
Sigh... Bad news happened to start camp last year, same for this year.
