We play the game to compete. That's why athletes come to the SEC. To compete at the absolute highest level - where the game is honored.

Players work all off season while we wait to see our respective team take the field for those 8 conference games. Then it's season end again.

Foley worked Sankey over like a cheap whore and it sucks dick. The commissioner makes a million dollars to make tough decisions, including how to play this game and he did not.

Reading those posts, I have no idea how any fan in this conference could respect those figs

Only the trolls are taking their side. This is actually a very diagnostic issue.

SCAR could have done that last year during the historic and tragic flooding ... we were given the option and having a bad year to boot. Instead, we chose to play the game (like men)

LSU lost to UT at home two days after Hurricane Rita hit an already Katrina devastated state. Game was moved to Monday. The only talk I remember is "how can we make this game happen". Canceling was not an option. Same thing for South Carolina last year.

The media spin is what is making me mad. UF was so reactive to this situation for now obviously their own gain. But it's as if LSU is out of line for wanting to play. Thoughts and prayers to Florida. Hurricanes hit close to home for us all. However seeing how other SEC schools have handled natural disasters and how UF has used it to their advantage is sickening.

remember when UF was a program to be feared? Now they resort to hiding behind natural disasters to scheme their way into Atlanta.

Foley's always been on another level from other SEC ADs, his final gift being this chess move fits.

I remember that 8-D chess he played hiring Ron Zook. It was amazing.

Wrong, most UF fans are pissed, wanted to play Saturday in Gainesville. In the long run, whether it will help or hurt is unclear.

Based on Florida board they are all very happy to not be playing this weekend using the "inconsiderate/no compassion" card. While other Florida universities are still playing this weekend.

Smart move by Florida, now it's time for the SEC office to step in and enforce a level playing field, reschedule the game or force Florida to forfeit.

Not a possibility that would be "fair" to both teams. But I'm sure you don't really care about that.

I feel sorry for the true Gator fans that would want to play LSU, but the pussies deserve what they get.

If Florida somehow does make it to Atlanta off of this cheap move, I hope Bama pushes their shite in while the entire nation is watching.

Im so pissed @ UFearful that I would root for Gumps for the first time in my life in the above scenario.

Bruce Feldman was on the Dan Patrick show, on national tv, and made a telling comment: " League Office insiders are saying that if Slive (?) was still commish, this would never have been allowed to happen". He then referenced Slive stepping in & moving the LSU/UT game to a Monday nite after Katrina. S.Carolina made zero complaints last yr with the same exact situation. In talking to Cock fans who made the game, all I recall hearing is "Let's play the damn game !". Fla fans are glad not to have to play. Pretty much sums up the difference in the 2 fan bases.

I'm laughing my arse off that LSU and Cocky fans...
1) Think they are in the same league as UF in terms of clout and power plays.
2) How a lousy 3-2 LSU team that your own fans said sucked arse just 2 weeks ago, somehow is a team to be feared.
3) How you dumbasses just now realize you've been played.
