2012 Bama fans probably did the same type of computing prior to Mett going ballistic on their #1 defense. And Mett wasn't even playing that well going into that game.
I won't say that he'll do the same to UF, but I don't think that UF should underestimate what he is capable of. This is not 2012 in Gainesville nor is he a first year starter or being directed by Stud (OL Coach).
UF and Bama played Aggies, LSU, Georgia, Tenn, Missouri last year.
Only one of those teams did Bama actually do better defensively than the Gators.
We were better than, we are better now defensively.

First game ever. If he played y'all in the second half of the season he would have put up 60.

If we had tape on Manziel we would of shut A&M out completely. 62 total yards the second half. Once we realized the kid has to be mobile, we absolutely gang raped it. Considering the Aggies play book is still very simple(effective, but simple), it doesn't mean much. LSU and UF knew how to stop that offense, and did. Not our fault Bama refuses to stop playing man press on a team that eats that alive.

Edit: misread post to be that Matt didn't play that well in the Bama game.
This has to be the big west homer statement of all times. Mett played his best game of the year, probably one his better for his career. LSU lost that game. It was a great comeback being down 14-3 halftime. Bama came out flat, thought they could coast to victory and almost lost the game because of this but when the game was on the line, the champs did what champs do, made the plays.
LSU fans are overly cocky about their O vs UFs d. This will not be the high scoring game you wish it will be both teams in low 20s type game with @400yds. Look for UF to try to play ball control and run on the weak LSU defense and win the TOP by 5minutes or more. This game will be close.

nah, we hangin 28 on that arse
it'll be a 28-21 or 28-24 type game. no way we keep UF under 20, but no way we get held under 28 either IMO.

Of course u think hes a man. He raped your overrated defense. Shame on UF for disgracing the Sugar bowl.

What the hell does that say about UGA?

This, even if they can double your scoring d average it would only be @24pts. My how fast have the LSU fans have forgotten about how great defenses win games in the sec. Shame shame

Incidentally, if you halved our offense's scoring average, we'd be at... 23 points per game.
So we'll meet you halfway and say 23 as the base, add in 3-4 points for home field and we're looking at 26-27. Unless you think we're going to drive all over Florida and kick field goals, I think 28 is a more reasonable score.
So... what were you guys on about?

Bridgewater is hands down the best NFL prospect out of this years QB class (he'll go pro this year).

We wanted to:
1)Let our defense finally get some credit, and they responded with 6 takeaways
2)Have a signature play in jacksonville since it'd been about 4 years without one.

Oh I remember the BCS title game in 2008 when we played the mighty sooners and they were averaging over 500 yards of offense and over 50 pts a game. End result? 14 points and a bunch of wrs who were an inch shorter after the game.
LSU cant hold a candle to the powerful passing attack that Okla had that year...but defense begets wins my purple and gold twinkies.

Y'all didn't have film on Bridgewater?
Posted on 10/8/13 at 2:46 pm to TeLeFaWx
no, they just "didn't give a frick" about reaching the best bowl they could at 13-1 at the end of a supremely overachieving season

Not really sure what happened with Bridgewater. He played lights out and UF didn't. It's really as simple as that.
I mean, how does one of the highest scoring offenses in the country, score 14 points against UF in the 2006 BCSCG?
How do two of the highest scoring offenses of 2008 score 24 and 14 points in the BCSCG game?
How does Utah come in and whip Alabama's arse?
How does Oregon and Auburn score their lowest points of the season against each other in 2010?
shite happens in bowl games.
But lets not kid ourselves. Fans are asking their teams to "Play dead for Ted". No one is asking their team to "Play like crap for Zach".
There's a big difference between the two of them.

but I'm pretty sure this will be LSU's worst passing performance of the year, barring future injuries.
...and conversely, I feel this will be UF's worst defensive performance of the year so far, and maybe all year.
UF's defense is good, but the jortsters always lose to good passing teams. UGA and UL last year, Miami this year.

Manziel would have done twice of what Bridgewater did at that point in the season.
