Bama is currently #2 in the nation in rushing D (UF is #10) so running is pretty much out of the question...not that we rely on our rushing game.
But Bama is #40 in passing yards allowed (again UF is #10) #68 at Turnovers Lost (UF is #13 at T/O Gained) so we will have our opportunities to gain yards and keep Henry/Co. off the field.
What you're missing is that Alabama's got those rankings while playing a schedule were 8 of the 10 teams they've faced are already bowl eligible and one of the other is 1 win away.
Florida's faced four.
Combined record of Bama's opponents: 61-38
Combined record of Florida's opponents: 49-49
You, like several other teams this year, really don't know what you're facing.

The thing about UF that is dangerous is their fast arse WRs. They are capable of big plays before you even know what hit you. While Treon is obviously no super-star, he is capable of getting the ball to those WRs.
Yep. They have speed at WR and I wouldn't be surprised to see them hit a homerun or two.
What I don't think they'll do is have the sustained drives needed to keep Henry & company off the field. In between those homeruns, there are going to be a lot of 3 and outs and more than a few sacks and pressure-induced QB mistakes.

I realize this isn't very fair, seeing as the stats are close....but I feel like Alabama's defense is on another planet than UF's.

UF defense vs Ole Miss

10 points
To be fair, it wasn't Bama's defense that cost them the Ole Miss game. It was turnovers and special teams.

UF will not be able to run on UA at all. Henry will get his.

Also, Bama's average margin of victory is 17.6 points.
Florida's margin of victory is 13.6 points.
Alabama has given up 13 points per game on average to 3 ranked teams.
Florida has given up 35 points per game to one ranked team.

How do the schedules compare? Not trolling, I'm just wondering because it seems like every week, Alabama is playing someone who's in the top 20 until the loss to Alabama knocks them out of the top 25.
So far we have similar opponents in Tennessee, Ole Miss, UGA, and LSU.

I hope Florida loses to Florida State, and then I don't really care what happens in the SECCG.

Your stats are a bit misleading. You have not played the caliber of schedule that BAMA has played.
BAMA - 38
UF - 16
Extends win streak to 5 vs. Gators
The Football Power Index (FPI)
BAMA - 3RD / FLORIDA - 14TH
Sagarin Ratings:
BAMA - 1ST / Florida - 10TH
Strength of Schedule:
BAMA - 3RD / Florida - 31ST
Record vs. Top 30:
BAMA: 6-1 / Florida: 3-1

The passing yards statistic is a little misleading as well. We have given up quite a few passing yards, but one of the reasons for this is because no one is running on us so they keep slinging it around. You get a much truer picture if you look at our pass defensive efficiency stats. We are first in the conference in that area.

Your QB is Treon Harris. Florida doesn't even qualify as a speed bump this year
Your's is Jake Coker, if you throw 20 passes our offense might not even have to pass midfield for us to win by double digits.

As Mike Tyson once said, "They all have a plan to beat me until I hit them in the mouth."

You have to rely on Treon Harris.
We have to rely on the current leader for the Heisman Trophy.
Kind of a different dynamic.

Coker has been doing a great job of protecting the ball lately.
The interception in the MSU game was a glorified punt on third down. Didn't hurt us.

Harris: 75-135 55.6% 1109 yds 6 td 3 int 14 sacks
Games started against bowl-eligible teams: 2
Record as starter against bowl-eligible teams: 1-1
Coker: 176-273 64.5% 1951 yds 12 td 8 int 16 sacks
Games started against bowl-eligible teams: 7
Record as starter against bowl-eligible teams: 7-0
I'd say one of the teams involved might want to worry about their QB, but that team isn't Alabama.

Dude you should honestly be worrying about Cook. The way LF7 ran all over you guys would have me concerned. Cook is a beast in his own right.

Bama's right with Florida on Turnover game (21-20), just hampered by the -5 T/O margin against Ole Miss. The epitome of Snake Bit (as well as a loss by 6 points)
