I highly doubt it. Was somebody being a little sarcastic maybe? I mean, Florida could beat them by 120 if they played the whole game, but they will pack it in at half time, just like every other top 5 team against a 1-AA school (Michigan not included).

I highly doubt there will be a Vegas line on that game.

I suppose some offshore line could be found but typically we don't have lines on our first victim, I mean opponent.

Playing Charleston Southern makes me...

We are a 10 TD favorite. I thought it was a misprint, but it's all over the Gator boards. I would post a link, but it's an insiders forum.

And I think I'd give the points..who in the hell is Charleston Southern?

Freakin Liberty shut em out last year.....and who the hell is Liberty? Isn't that Pat Robertson's college??? They play football too?

Playing a cupcake to start is fine, but this is ridiculous.

It is for real. Florida should be able to score any amount they wish on Charleston Southern. They probably would have a better game against South Alabama, who opens with Hargrave

That would really suck if Tebow got injured in that game....

I know they could, but ususally Vegas figures in the damn waterboy gettin in the game in these matchups. Hell, I can't remember a legitimate line of 73 or bigger

It would probably be an ankle tweak and a minor though. Tim is clearly bigger than everyone of Charleston Southern's players. He would probably be LT on their team.

If Florida punts in this game, hell if they even face a third down conversion, it will be a disappointment. Defensively, if they give up a first down it will be an epic fail of a football game.

They could end up with 700 yards rushing in this one.

CS wins this one straight up.

ETA: How much are they getting to play this game? This will be one of those that will destroy the teams confidence and the fans optimism for the season, probably next year too.

So is this what Urban means when he says "Brandtley (sp?) will get major playing time this year in key situations"?

Yes, we are going to loan Tim to CS. It was part of the contract to get them to come down.

When Vegas finally learns about this I think the line will open up with the Gatahs as +1.5

In all seriousness, I don't understand Charleston Southern at all. Surely there was somebody else Florida could've played. Hell, play a 1-AA or division II school (whatever they are) if you want, just don't pick the worst one.

I agree. I would rather see UF play teams like North Texas or San Jose St than Charleston Southern or The Citadel.
