Jonathan Taylor is about equal to Mike Dyer. Gus Malzahn had no trouble taking him along. He fricked up the 3rd time and Gus let him go. Sounds about exactly the same.

Saban is a fricking POS. Who can forget him letting Julio Jones on the 2nd half of their loss agains UL MONROE!
Winning is all that matters. If he had a 5 star kill someone and somehow could still see the field and contribute he would give the green light

What??? He was similar to Tryen Jones in they liked their herb. Dyer was never arrested and has no criminal record while at Auburn. Gus gave him a shot at Arkie State. Louisville gave him another chance. Are you really comparing dope smoking to DV? Take off the Crimson colored glasses.
Dyer was arrested one time AFTER he left Auburn, JT has been arrested three times including two for DV.

You know full well that Dyer avoided criminal charges in trailer park robbery because he wisely agreed to be a witness for the prosecution.
Having said that, I agree that the two situations aren't all that comparable. I'm not defending Saban's decision to sign Taylor in any way at all. It was stupid and unlike Gus with Dyer, there wasn't a preexisting player/coach relationship. The only real comparison is both decisions blew up in their faces.
