Sorry, I don't always put things where I should.

That what he said.

*I also thought about making this into a "world's most interseting man" joke.

Bray would slash his own throat right off the bat... and STILL kick the shite out of Murray's goofy arse.

Bray projected to go 6th to Cleveland

quote:

Not the QB you were expecting? Well as our #1 rated QB Tyler Bray earns the honour of being the first QB selected in this mock. In terms of natural arm talent, Bray is by far the best QB in this class, that has never been the issue. The knocks on Bray have always been based around his maturity and his decision making, both are fair criticisms at this point.

quote:

Bray does make some baffling decisions on game film, but i put a lot of blame for that on the coaching staff.

Go ahead and fap to the last sentence, Bammers.

quote:

Staying with the coaching theme, I am very rarely critical of coaching in this mock, but i will be very critical here of the University of Tennessee’s coaching staff over the last few years. UT has had immense natural talent across the board the last few years and have translated that into very few wins. More so for the NFL, players such as Bray, Justin Hunter, Corradelle Patterson and Da’Rick Rogers are still categorized as really raw, which points to a very poor job coaching these players up during their time in college. You think if Nick Saban had his hands on these guys they will be as raw as they are now?

To be honest Vols, Bray is gonna be one of the steals of the draft, and imo Hunter, Patterson, and Rogers are the three best WRs in the draft.

The dude was doing outstanding as a freshman

I don't get how people label him as injury prone either. He hit his thumb on a helmet when he was a sophomore, that's it really. It seemed like he was constantly getting crushed his freshman season and never really sat out a snap (after he was named starter).

There's no doubt that he's got a cannon strapped to his shoulder, but he doesn't make good reads at all. That's coachable though, Doolz wasn't helping any in that department. I don't think Chaney did a good job of teaching his footwork either. The pick Vs Bama in the endzone is a good example. Pig Howard was wide arse open at around the 10 yd line after Sunseri bit on the play fake. Since he was in the shotgun, he should have been coached to stand up and throw it in Pig's facemask after the play fake and would have hit him at the 5 and walked into the endzone. Instead, he took 3 steps, hitched, and delivered it waaaay too late. The corner (who was in no man's land) had time to recover and make a play.

He's got all the potential in the world, but he needs some really good coaching. If a coach that's a "molder of QB's" drafts him, he could be great. If he gets drafted by someone like the Cowboys, it'll be a wasted pick.

then they are frickin retarted and have no business talking about the draft.

quote:

After viewing Tennessee QB Tyler Bray's 2012 game tape, NFL Films' Greg Cosell believes Bray displays "obvious arm talent" but his performance dips severely in a "muddied pocket." Cosell sees Bray as "very loose and undisciplined" in the pocket, and his efficiency "drops dramatically" when pressured. Bray is also "stiff in his movement," lacking an ability to athletically reset. We like Bray as a mid- to late-round flier for a vertical offense, but nothing more. He's an obvious project.

It's hard to coach, but it's still coachable. Idk if Bray is that "coachable" though anyway. Hard to tell with the last staff.

You shouldn't be coaching an NFL QB about making reads

It is very hard to coach, but not impossible. I get what you're saying tho.

Like I said, he'll have to get drafted by a team that has a coach with the reputation of molding great QB's. For the record, i don't think he's a top 10 pick at all.

Defenses are more complex in the NFL, you have to coach the rookies to read them. Some catch on faster than others. Some don't catch on at all.
