CBS wants Daddy.

FWIW, I think AU v. Tenn should be the CBS 2:30 spot. People are cashing in on JFF.

I'd rather have the 2:30 game.

Pretty sure the picks went:

CBS - LSU/Bama
ESPN - AU/UT
CBS - MSU/A&M

CBS still will carry the same number of football games each season as part of its package, and network executives are arguing that schools such as Alabama, Florida and LSU-not Missouri and Texas A&M-drive the value of the conference. Without additional inventory, CBS's stance has been that it shouldn't pay more solely because the conference added two new schools.

Remember that? CBS should send JFF a nice gift basket this Christmas and post-date it to after the bowl game.

It was so nice playing at 2:30 this past weekend instead of at 6 or 7.

It's pretty crappy of the SEC and it's TV partners to basically sh*t on 80% of the conference's member fanbases by having all these games before 12:00 all in the name of viewership and ad revanue.

Would it kill them to have a couple more of these games in the 2:30 slot on this day?... seems ridiculous.

Really hope so, otherwise this is exactly what worries me about a Sugar Bowl scenario where AU and A&M are both 10-2.

Thankfully, CBS-exclusive timeslots are gone soon (next year I think).

We've been very fortunate to avoid it all season thus far. Will probably be our only one.

Agreed. 2:30 is my favorite time slot for games from late October on. Weather is the best. Games starts in the mild sunshine and ends as the sun sets and cooler temps come. Plenty of time to tailgate before and after the game.

Give me night games the first half of the season, 2:30/3:30 games the second half of the season, and noon games never.
