Such an off-season topic, but...

That one game or play when a season took a turn for the better or worse. Examples...

After the disastrous 2012 season, in 2013 Dee Ford sacks JFF to beat A&M and on the road and that sent us skyward toward the SECC.

2016 Kamryn Pettway running for a sure TD pulls a hammy in the Vandy game and we went in the shitter from there.

1989 After losing 2 games early to UT and FSU, Reggie Slack completes a 4th & 12 TD pass to beat UF and we went on to beat UGA, Bama, won the SEC, and trounced tOSU on new years day.

Will always wonder what happens in that UGA game if he's healthy. White was still broken so might not have changed anything but I have to think running Pettway 40 times would have worked better than what we ended up doing

2016 Auburn vs LSU. If LSU gets that snap off, we go 9-2 and miles is still the coach

Not off-season at all.

Setting: 1985 College World Series. Gene Morgan on the mound for us. Texas on the ropes. Line drive off of Morgan's shin causes him to leave the game. Game totally flips. Puts us in the loser's bracket and we are eventually eliminated by a Greg Elena HR in a walkoff. The team had Palmeiro, Clark, Thigpen, Morgan and Brantley, among others.

Used to fish with Gene.

He stayed in the game; I think.

Told me later being hit by the hit ball didn't bother him; he was already losing his stuff.

Best turnaround I can think of was the Cocktail party celebration penalty. UGA was a very average at best team up to that point in the season, and from that moment on they looked like a completely different team.

Most disastrous turn of a season came in 2013 after playing in Neyland. Offense was totally depleted after that game.

True, dat.

Sorry, I often forget why let the truth get in the way of a good story...

Gus wouldn't have been as tempted to pass in the 2nd half if Pettway played, All we had to do to beat UGA was run and play d
