A player just admitted on national TV he was paid by current coaches and authicated the texts that prove it. He will be pressured by NFL and dolphins to come clean and cooperate and apparently doesn't feel he owes ole miss shite. This is about As bad as it gets. This story is on every team board in America.

all he said was we gave him money. He didn't say how much. We paid his rent a couple of times. His suspension was 7 games. Do you know how much improper benefits you have receive to get suspended 7 games? We have already self-imposed many penalties. We are going to argue minimal improper benefits.

It's funny that you try to act like you actually know what OM will do in this situation.

The guy admitted, on live tv, to a nationwide audience, that he accepted money to go to Ole Miss. That's a major NCAA violation.

That's pretty cut and dry. No need for another investigation. It's all summed up in his statement.

quote:

The NCAA spent 3 years in Oxford. They are ready to move on. This will add minor penalties if anything at all.

Yeah, the NCAA will just say, "Man, I'm tired of dealing with all these violations and investigating this team. I mean things just keep popping up here. But I'm tired of it, so I'm just going to move along."

Not happening.

You don't but it's cool. I get that you read a Rebel message board and are just regurgitating their opinion here. Happens all the time in message boards. Anyone actually first person connected to the issue wouldn't be dumb enough to post on an SEC only message board. That's just begging to be fired.

And that's the problem. It's a huge, HUGE no no.

Doesn't matter. He accepted it. That's a violation.

It's one thing to take money from a booster. He's discussing payments from a coach with the fricking assistant athletic director. You are completely delusional if you think this isn't a major revelation.

Not that it would ever happen to an SEC school but the Death Penalty is a possibility. Ole Miss is in "deep Kaka"

Wasn't there a former player from SMU that went on national TV and said he got paid? This was right before they were given the death penalty

SMU had already been caught before that guy went on TV and said that.

Ole Miss is fricked though. this is literally the best draft ever. I hope more Ole Miss players get drafted just so someone can interview them and ask if they got paid "Tunsil money"

something known as an "opportunity fund" to help players in financial need. Any money players receive is on a need basis and is part of the opportunity fund. There is also Pell Grant money and federal assistance funds players can apply for in times of need. Miller, Barney Farrar and Tom Luke help players attain these monies by helping them fill out the proper forms. All monies from these funds has to be approved through compliance.

I thought the 7 games was because it took so long for that body shop to fix his car?

Given the amount of money that was allegedly transacted it should have been 3 games.

Ole Miss is a dirty arse program and every win they have since Freeze got there has a stain on it.

I guess you guys can celebrate dirty wins. Congrats.

The guy just confessed on live TV.
Now the onus is on the NCAA to punish, therefore putting them under the spotlight/pressure...they've got no choice but to level the Ole Miss program now.
