I think you'd see a scene very similar to the auburn airport as Jay came back after speaking with chizik, if that were to happen.

Art Briles or Tuberville would both be very solid hires.

Franklins O put up just under 20 yrds a game less than Malzahns this year. only 10 spots in total offense rankings between the two.

You mean 3 straight non disguised running plays right up the gut with the box stacked isn't formidable to Franklin's offense...no way.

I can't help but think that Franklin's failure was much like Dave Clawson's at Tennessee...the result of too much meddling from others that didn't allow it to reach its full potential. We see now what Clawson has done at Bowling Green with their offense and what Franklin did at MTSU. Makes you wonder who was really responsible for Auburn and Tennessee's pathetic offensive showings in 2008.

I think just about everyone is in agreement that 2008 was a product of CTT and his bbq boys not letting franklin have any free roam.

he just left a situation where the PTB did not like him and screwed him the first chance they got, why would he want a situation that is similar to what he just left.

If he stays out of coaching much longer, i don't really see him getting many offers...hell he doesn't appear to be on too many programs wishlist as it is.
