I'll say False. I don't think AU stands a very good chance of making it to the playoff. They likely have to win out: @ OM, @ Bama, @ UGA and would likely have a rematch with UGA in the SECCG. That ain't happening - 4 wins over current top 10 teams away from home. Bama stands the best chance from an IB winner perspective, but I don't think they're good enough this year to beat Miss St, AU and likely UGA in the SECCG. Could happen, but I'll believe it when I see it.

A lot has to happen for Bama or AU to win a 3 way tie with OM and/or MSU.
AU and OM does not really matter for Bama.
Bama and MSU does not really matter for AU.

AU needs OM to win the egg bowl and UGA + USC to have a better record than Vandy + UT and Vandy + UK

Bama needs MSU to win the egg bowl and UF + UT to have better records than UK + Vandy and UT + Vandy.

LSU won't be top-25 especially if they get beat by Ole Miss or Alabama. Please, Auburn beat the dogshit out of LSU.

Georgia has to win out for 2 SEC teams to be in the playoffs. And Notre Dame, FSU, or Oregon has to drop a game.

I say true.

As to whether the SECCG winner goes automatically, I say that's not a given.

-Auburn beats UGA and they fall to say 14-16th in the polls (say game isn't close), and
-If the SECW comes down to a tie breaker for two 11-1 teams, and
-Both of the SECW 11-1 teams were in the top 4,
-And UGA won the SECCG but only rises to 9th or so in the polls,

Then imho the other 11-1 SECW team goes to the playoff and UGA is left out. By that point the team on the outside is in the top 4 having played a tougher schedule and come out with only 1 loss. I think this is especially so if you somehow end up with 4 or 5 1-loss teams, they're not going to take a 2-loss team.

And if that one on the outside is Alabama it's a no brainer.
