Outside of Georgia, who we will almost never play, who the frick is on par with Alabama?

This is the difference between the SEC and the former P6 (soon to be P4)

Every other conference was 1 or 2 teams dominating. SEC has "THE SIX" and they can all win it all.

Alabama was nobody pretty much between Bear and Saban
Vols were solid from Neyland to the Phat Man
Georgia was historically 3 or 4 but have Kirby
LSU has 3 Natty's with 3 different coaches in this century
Auburn has been in striking distance since the beginning of the SIAA
Florida has been a presence since the 80's and clearly has the in state talent

Vanderbilt and Tulane were tops prior to WW II (and certainly WWI)
Georgia Tech had 3 Natty's in the SEC before Bear and Bobby feuded
Kentucky was a power after WWII (and the first SEC school to play CFB)
Sewannee had the Iron Men and sowed the seeds for the conference
Rebs were good at the wrong time in US history
tLandmass have both been in the Top 5 in the US in this century

Name any other power conference that deep?

Biggest hurdle for both OU and Utx is if they can approach "THE SIX" or if both will fade to the middle of the pack?

Both true and false. The competition in the SEC will be tougher than it was in the B12 even if they’re both natty contenders (which they’re not, at least for now). The exposure they’ll receive in the SEC will ensure that attention will be given to them. NIL also plays a huge part in this, especially for Texas. Only question for each school is do they have the coaching required to compete with the likes of Saban, Kirby and (to an extent) Kelly while also holding off potential up-and-comers like Heupel and Beamer.

For non-football sports, they should fit in nicely, especially for baseball (for Texas) and softball (for OU). Men’s BB will also become a bit more legit IMO.

They'll both be competitive. Neither will be dominant. OU needs to get it's lines up to speed, especially on defense. TX needs to learn how to get out of it's own way. Personell will be easier to fix than culture.

Nebraska wasn't good before the Big 10. This isn't the 90s anymore.

Now they just get worst recruits.

Nebraska was still a power it first 8 years in the Big12. In its later years they still won 9-10 games a year under Pelini and during the early big10 years.

They only became a doormat after Pelini and have not recovered

We held Bama to 20 points last year and return almost our entire offense + two draftable mid-round receivers.

Sark might Sark, but this team is stacked.

This is objectively, verifiably false.

Bama won multiple shared and outright SEC championships and a national championship between the Bear and Saban.

Bama won 195 games from 1983 - 2006 (comparatively, Auburn won 205, Florida won 220, Georgia won 197, LSU won 176, and Tennessee won 218).

That's not "nobody."

By Bama standards it is

Wallace Wade = GOAT
Frank Thomas = GOAT
47 - 57 Bama had good teams, just not Bama level good
Bear Bryant = GOAT
83-2007 Bama had some good team (even Natty with Stallings)
Nick Saban = GOAT

I think Perkins had (1) 10 win season
Curry was a hot mess
Stallings won a Natty but got in trouble
DuBose lost to Michigan for godssake
Franchione was only there a year or two
Shula certainly was not his daddy

Wheres Lincoln Nebraska compared to Norman and Austin? When is the last time Nebraska out recruited every sec team sans bama and UGA? Both OU and Texas just did from the big 12 in 2022
