No he didnt. Chubb is freaking awesome, love the dude. But the guys that got it over him deserve to be there

All could have easily made the team. I think the argument from Georgia fans, would be that he played very little in the first 5 games or so. had he gotten an equal number of carries his statistics would have easily eclipsed the Oregon back. however, you can't go by coulda, woulda, shoulda. You can only go by what happened. It would have been nice to put all three backs on the team.

Great post. I wish we could see how LF would have done if Leslie didnt only give him 20+ carries 3 times

List is shite, there is a UT offensive lineman on the list.

Jashon is a true freshmen who'd never played OL (came in as a DT and switched weeks into camp) and actually did a fairly good job this season. Not his fault the rest of the line is trash. He was paired with another true freshmen on the right side Coleman Thomas @RT and had to basically do the work of two linemen -- Coleman was bad, real bad.

Well, another Miami freshman QB being annointed. That's worked as well for them as it has for ND.

That's a pretty huge understatement.

Who do you take off?

The oregon running back who had more yards and more touchdowns against alot tougher run defenses,

or

The Oklahoma running back who had more yards and also set the Ncaa single game rushing record

Sometimes awesome players get left off these list do to others being great too. It isnt a slight to Chubb

I don't have words to express how bad he was this year. Terrible, horrible, awful, etc. don't even begin to describe it.

That said, in fairness to him a true freshman should not have to start at OT. And that's especially true for a guy like CT who was forced to start, not because he was a physical freak who was so ready you couldn't keep him off the field but because we needed warm bodies.

[Insert rant about Dooley not recruiting OLINEMEN]

Still think Sony is better than Chubb. But NC is a beast.

Chubbs defenses were horrendous against the rush: SEC teams faced by Chubb rush defense rankings: 12, 22, 30, 46, 67, 86, 90 ,107 Royce Freeman defense rankings: 6, 11, 21, 40, 43, 52, 54, 55

Half of the SEC opponents were good against the run as was GT. The Pac 12 teams are not nearly as run heavy as the SEC, therefore the ratings are skewed relative to competition. Having seen all of the true freshmen RB's mentioned in this thread, I believe Chubb has performed as well as any of them.
