Trolling A&M about hiring Petrino reminds of the trolling when Bama hired Kiffin

And y'all couldn't have been more wrong. If road rash Bobby has his shite together and Jimbo leaves him alone, he will do well at A&M. We shall see I guess.

Petrino is a very good hire for aTm at this point in time, imo.

Bama would win with Matt Canada.

Aggy can’t crack 6 wins with 100million a year.

Do the math, son.

but as noted on another board: what are the odds that Fisher actually lets Petrino run the offense all season

Lane Kiffin is closer to spring chicken than Bobby Petrino. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that he might’ve lost an edge.

His return to Louisville was pretty putrid.

He was damn good with Lamar. He flamed out after, for sure. He'll get that elite qb he needs at A&M though.

Couldn't disagree more- Bama had the D minded GOAT. Kiffin was thought a fool. Kiffin was no threat to Saban whatsoever.

Jimbo is a fraud. An offensive minded fraud. He desperately brought in a known back-stabbing malcontent.

If it fails it will be glorious to watch. If it succeeds Bobby's gonna Fulmer Jimbo every chance he gets.

Either way, it's gonna be must see TV!

it’s a lost closer to LSU hiring Bo Pelini

I mean, aTm just beat out…UNLV…for his services

Program at Aggie level should have been able to steal an OC from much better schools

Both have Giant egos look for coaches fighting on the sidelines

So, head coach whose only success came from a Heisman winner hires an OC whose only success came with Lamar Jackson?

That's a lot of eggs in the Connor Weigman basket...

It reminds me of when we hired Pelini.

Petrino is a terrible human but he can definitely put together a good offense. He's better off as an OC and not the face of the profram.

I don't think him and Jimbo will mesh well.

You do know Petrino had a career before Lamar Jackson right?

Petrino hasn’t been an OC since 2002, but has called the offense like Jimbo at all his stops since Auburn

Lane can actually play nice with others, Petrino is a next level piece of shite.

Agree with what you said, it could definitely be huge for A&M but two big differences imo. Age. Kiffin had to stay in line or his coaching career would’ve been over at 39. Petrino is nearing 62, he could win a natty as an OC, which would be great for him but he’s not turning this into a high profile HC gig. Most importantly though, Jimbo ain’t Saban.

I’ll give Texas A&M this: they’re contract poor with jimbo’s buyout and might as well roll the dice.

You’re not exactly profound saying Petrino can call a gem but history is pretty clear the odds are those two egos won’t work. Imagine an offensive genius like Petrino taking a seat to jimbo fisher.

It’s not much different than Aggie poaching John Chavis from lsu. He did great things for lsu but his formula was exposed. Has Petrino switched to the spread? If not I don’t care if he torched lsu in 2010.
