One of my ancestors served in that REGT, FWIW.
My Great Grandfather was a Sgt. in the CSA, 2nd Regiment, Arkansas Infrantry, Company G.
He, along with 2 brothers traveled to Helena and enlisted in 1861. Another brother joined them a year later.
However, they never fought a battle in Arkansas, their stations and battles were east of Arkansas, including Chickamauga and as far as North Carolina towards the end of the war.

Thought I would mention this... the 3rd Louisiana infantry regiment burned Fayetteville Arkansas to the ground when retreating out of Missouri early in the War of Southern Independence. Why? Oh, "to deny its use to the advancing Yanks."
That's just how we roll.
You do realize that LSU's first Superintendent also burned Atlanta, GA and Columbia, SC, don't you?
We some burning motherfrickers.

I just wanted to say that according to Civil War historian Ken Burns every state in the Confederacy sent at least 1 regiment to fight for the Union, except one. SC. Y'all are a bunch of Lincoln lovin' Northern sympathizing Yanks!!!!

The Fighting Tigers, LSU's symbol obviously, was based on a confederate special forces unit based out of the Pineville area during the War of Northern Aggression.
Known for their ruthless brutality in battle, their reputation grew to the point where they were considered so savage, rumors of cannibalism came about. They'd not only kill their opponents, they'd cook em up afterwards.
Much of this 'legend' has actually been documented.
Judging by some of the shite rodents you people pull out of the swamp and eat today, it doesn't surprise me at all that your great great grandfathers ate humans.

I want a link this happened and in what part of Alaska did the Louisiana infantry burn Alaska down?

Don't you remember when the Confederacy had the Union forces driven back all the way into AK?
Reb forces were stationed around Prairie Grove, AK. They had marched right through Fayetteville, AK and were about to set siege on Tonitown, AK.
Everything was going their way, until the Confederacy's supply of grits, salt pork and plug tobacco started to run out.

They also constantly made fun of the AK regiments and people too. All documented in The History of the Third Louisiana Regiment.
Please edit your abbreviation to the correct one! Don't make us Loozyana folks look bad.

Why would anybody be proud of burning down the cities of other southerners in the war?
There's a confederate cemetery on Mt. Sequoyah in Fayetteville for the war dead. Its a beautiful place.
